Ultimate Frisbee Club: Men's Captain

Hey all, Ade here. 

First off big congrats to our 2023-24 men’s and women’s teams who went UMWIN. Speaking on the men’s team we may not have bought home the gold but it was a privilege to train, compete and grow as frisbee players alongside you all. 

Why Vote for Me?

As your Captain I would bring my experience to the role. Having played for UCL for several years I have our playbook memorised. I know what has worked, what hasn’t and how to communicate the game and our strats to new and experienced players alike. 

Moreover my experience gives me plenty of ideas to improve our trainings and overall season. From a preseason session to ease older players back into the game, to reworking our indoors strats for better crossover from outdoors to indoors ultimate, to updating our online playbook for player reference. I hope to have the ideas and creativity to respond to the needs of the team in the coming season. 

With many of our 1st team players graduating this year, there’s been a general sense that UCL might struggle next year at tournament. I won’t deny the challenges facing us next year, but I know this team and have witnessed 1st hand how much you’ve all grown as players in the past 1-2 years. We will all need to rise up to fill those new roles and meet those challenges, but once we do I see a very successful future for the team. I hope you’ll vote me in as one of the Captains to lead you there.
