Psychology and Education Society: Welfare Officer

Hey guys, my name is Kobi, a Year 2 Psychology with Education student, and I am excited to run for the position of Welfare Officer.

I have always strived to build a wide and reliable network of good relationships from students on Psychology, Psychology with Education and Education courses. After all, the essence of a Welfare Officer lies in their ability to build meaningful relationships with people (especially those in our own department!).

As Welfare Officer, your wellbeing is my greatest priority! I am committed to promoting self-care and fun through wellness workshops, activities and events, such as implementing peer support networks for students across all year groups to connect with each other. Your voice also matters, so I am further committed to empowering and advocating for student voices and rights through collaboration with faculty, administration, and the broader student community.

Not only would being a Welfare Officer allow me to put into practice the core principles of my studies, but also my own core principles as a good listener. This is needed in my commitment to creating a supportive and fun environment for all members.
