Netball Club: Netball Development Officer

Hi everyone! I’m Yu, a 1st year undergrad Nutrition and Medical Sciences student and I would like to run for next year’s netball development officer.

Being a social netball member this year, I've genuinely enjoyed every Monday training session, and it really helped me develop as a netball player. I hope to take this opportunity to not only further enhance my skills but also to give back to the community that has supported me this year by guiding other players during training sessions. As the development officer, I will ensure every social and TeamUCL League member has an enjoyable time during training.

Playing netball continuously for the past few years has equipped me to plan the sessions and facilitate our members’ development with all abilities, whether they are new to the sport, returning, or would like to pick it back up after a while. I consider myself to be an organised person. Whether it's coordinating practice schedules like circulating sign-up sheets, sorting teams, creating group chats, or providing support to fellow members, I believe my organisational skills will contribute positively to this role.

I am also friendly and easy-going, and I hope to make everyone feel welcome and included in social netball. For next year, I wish to create a stronger connection within the social netball team outside our weekly session by encouraging more people to join socials on Wednesdays as a part of UCNC.
