Intellectual Property Society: Welfare Officer

Hi there! How's it going?!

I am an incoming 2nd year neuroscience student, and I'm hoping to be your welfare officer next year if given the chance. I am standing for this position because I aim to use the knowledge I have gained in my field of study to the benefit of the wellbeing of the members of the IP society by working directly with the members of this society to grow and develop a healthy and positive atmosphere in the society. With your help, I also aim to be the point of contact for all things welfare by advocating for the mental health of the members of this society and by being the middle man between the members of the IP society and the UCL student support and wellbeing network at large.

Hello! My name is Khushi and I am excited to be running for your welfare officer next year. As the Intellectual Property Society enters its second full year, l am eager to ensure that it remains a supportive, inclusive, and accessible environment for all the members.

As the current Head of Fundraising, and incoming President for Lawyers Without Borders, I have proven that I am empathetic, organised, motivated, and capable of running successful events.

If elected, I will work closely with the Events Officers to make sure events are accessible to everyone. I will ensure that there is effective communication and, recognising the stress and pressure university students are under, I will endeavour for each event to not only be informative, but relaxing and an open space.

Whether you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to laugh with, my door is always open!
