Book clubs have always been an important part of my life, and I believe it is so important to keep fostering them as welcoming and diverse communities. Getting to discuss art with other people is one of the greatest joys of being a reader, and I am grateful the UCL Book Club provides such an environment. For this reason, I would love to join the committee and contribute to this wonderful society.

As President of Taylor Swift Society, I have gained experience in planning and budgeting for events, which I believe I could use to maximise the book club's potential (I'd also be bringing over some excellent spreadsheets). I have also understood the importance of creating relationships with other UCL societies and outside organizations, which I could apply to help expand the range of current Book Club events and attract a wider audience.

Overall, I hope in the next year, the Book Club can collaborate with arts societies and get involved in more literary events across London, such as book launches, signings and workshops. I can't wait to work with the new committee to make Book Club an even more exciting and engaging community!
