Faculty of Engineering PGT Rep

Let's imagine: as a postgraduate student who is trying to become a facility representative, anybody would expect that I probably had an impressive past: probably being a president of the class, or a leader in a student council, or an alien who had 15 volunteering experiences/ 20 internships / and possibly organised 5 large student events at the Trafalgar Square. Truth be told - I, unfortunately, am none of that. However, I'm here to bring to the table something new. I had my fair share in managing projects, groups, tutoring students and most importantly - giving my honest feedback to the teaching department. I'm not scared of social anxiety - social anxiety is scared of me. Therefore, I'm here to listen to you and speak up when needed, as I know how hard can it be. I have almost 3+ years of talking to managers, stakeholders and clients, additionally, I worked in a customer service industry for a whole year, and, oh yes, I know what it is like to find best solutions for the worst (and best) situations, and, please, be sure, I can find an approach in any situation. 

Having been in 4 different British universities and spent over 7 years in the UK, I am quite familiar with the "ins and outs" of navigating bureaucracy in academia and life in UK. As such, I am aware of the things that need improvement for student life and can provide insightful advice to any student looking for representation!

Hello everyone, 

I wish to run for the faculty representative because I want to make sure everyone's voice is heard and we can make education here at UCL better !

• Try to solve the issue that modules in TB1 with exams at the end of year
• Collect timely feedback from students and promptly communicate it to the module director

• Hope to make some social events for everyone from different courses 

   

I am excited to bring my strong dedication to student advocacy and representation. My experience as a Course Representative has sharpened my ability to listen to student concerns and effectively communicate their needs to faculty. I am committed to enhancing the academic experience by facilitating open dialogue and collaboration between postgraduate students and faculty members. Inclusivity is a priority for me, ensuring that every voice is heard, particularly those from underrepresented groups. With my skillset, I will coordinate initiatives that promote community engagement and support. 

I believe my experience positions me strongly for the PGT Faculty of Engineering Representative. I've honed strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills through various positions. As KIIT MUN Society Coordinator and Deputy Director General of the KIIT International MUN (1300+ delegates), I spearheaded event planning, collaborations, and acted as liasion between students, delegates, and administration. Similarly, at TEDxKIITUniversity, I ensured smooth event execution. My experience as a class representative further endorses my ability to effectively represent student voices.
 

I’m an engineer turned entrepreneur & policy expert for Gov. of India with 9 years experience. I understand the needs of technical graduates & as a management student, I empathise with our aspirations.

My entrepreneurial journey has taught me the value of cooperation, effective communication & ways of presenting issues to decision-makers. I’m skilled in managing diverse stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, which is key as a representative. I'm highly approachable & with a smiling face, active listening & empathy at the core of my approach, I bring a grounded leader to this role.
