What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I’m an engineer turned entrepreneur & policy expert for Gov. of India with 9 years experience. I understand the needs of technical graduates & as a management student, I empathise with our aspirations.

My entrepreneurial journey has taught me the value of cooperation, effective communication & ways of presenting issues to decision-makers. I’m skilled in managing diverse stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, which is key as a representative. I'm highly approachable & with a smiling face, active listening & empathy at the core of my approach, I bring a grounded leader to this role.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

As an international student who loves diversity, with only 1 year together, I want to create deeper connections that last. As a rep, I’d connect with & represent what matters the most to me—us.

My objectives would be to:

  1. Build a database to share targeted career opportunities
  2. Plan for a small evaluation study to provide evidence for the university to act on.
  3. Organize friendly interdisciplinary sports/cultural competitions to foster collaboration.
  4. Build strong relationships with faculty & advocate for tailored teaching approaches.
  5. Organize sessions for cross-disciplinary & people skills exposure.
Please summarise why students should vote for you.

The dep. spans 11 sub-dep., 89 courses & 6000+ students from 50+ countries across eng. & mgmt disciplines. With different career stages, needs & financial liabilities, a 1-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work. Some wish to pursue research while others need hard skills or job opportunities.

My experience & energy gives me the maturity to connect with professors & warmth to engage with you. My 5-point manifesto addresses our diverse needs. Having overcome personal challenges like stammering, I understand personal growth struggles & will advocate for you especially if you're not in the room.
