I bring a strong commitment to inclusivity and advocacy for disabled students, enhanced by my personal experience navigating mental health challenges and the invaluable support I received from UCL’s Student Support services. Additionally, my experience as a life support assistant taught me the importance of empathy and active listening, enabling me to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I am dedicated to gathering feedback to understand the needs of disabled students and planning accessible events that foster community engagement.
I hope to create a welcoming and supportive community for disabled students at UCL. I aim to organize accessible events that foster connection and promote awareness of mental health and disability issues. By actively engaging with students and gathering their feedback, I want to ensure our initiatives reflect their needs and empower them. Collaborating with Student Officers, I will advocate for improved resources and support services while amplifying disabled students' voices in decision-making processes, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and understanding university environment.
I am deeply committed to advocating for the needs of disabled students at UCL. My personal experience with mental health challenges, coupled with the support I received from UCL’s Student Support services, gives me unique insight into the issues our community faces. I possess strong organizational and communication skills developed through my roles as a Business Adviser and volunteer teacher, enabling me to plan impactful events. I am dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where every voice is heard, ensuring that disabled students feel valued and empowered.
