As an international student that has been studying abroad for the past four years, my experience in different boarding schools broadened my horizons into various cultures. I respect and listen to others' opinions, which I believe is one of the key skills required to be a rep.
Also, being active in different previous school activities, including sports and volunteering, I had the opportunities to take part as both member and leader, which allows me to develop skills in teamwork and leadership, so I have the ability to communicate with others as well as make decisions.
My goal is to make everyone in the faculty have a more sustainable study environment. I will encourage students to use the forum to gather feedback and suggestions. I would then present these to the union and make improvements.
I believe that communication is key. I am keen on working closely with the academic reps and other course reps, in order to exchange ideas and to aim for the best for the faculty.
Besides, I hope all students will feel more connected to others, and to UCL itself. Everyone deserves to have a voice, so I hope I can help everybody have their opinion valued and heard.
I believe my character make me qualified to be the faculty rep. Being a fresher, I hope to gain more experience of actively participating in student affairs. I would like to take this opportunity to communicate with students.
My outgoing personality makes it easy for others to approach. I am also a good listener, so please don't hesitate to find me. I am willing to speak up and provide all the support and help. I will make sure all of you will be heard!
I am confident in taking this role and would like to create the ideal school life for you!
Communication is both my strength and interest. As a former course rep, I enjoyed organizing events that involved large numbers of people. I grew up in the UK amidst a diverse array of ethnic groups and have friends from various backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. Being ethnically half-Japanese, a quarter-German, and a quarter-Greek, I naturally understand people from different backgrounds.
In my spare time, I enjoy performing piano for charity and meeting new people.
Therefore, I am well-equipped to connect students from different departments within the faculty.
I will create social, in-person events and a straightforward social media app for UCL students to use on their phones or computers to communicate freely. There will also be an anonymous helpline for those who may need support. Furthermore, I will create surveys to measure satisfaction rates across various metrics to assess which areas of the faculty can be improved.
Importantly, I will advertise more about the role of the faculty rep so that people are aware of the Education Zone, for example. This means that students of the faculty can become more involved in the faculty's decision-making.
Please vote for me to create events that you want and to ensure that your thoughts on how to improve UCL are heard. I will bridge the gap between the university and us students. Importantly, I want every student to be happy :)

Having been Head Student at my sixth form has given me valuable knowledge and experience needed to be an Academic Student Representative. As Head Student, I effectively spoke on behalf of all the students at my school, guaranteeing each and every one was heard (through questionnaires, polls, interviews and discussions). As a result, I have successfully orchestrated changes to community, fundraising and school provision. The responsibilities that come with being head student have taught me the importance of collaboration, leadership and teamwork through discussing student concerns.
I hope to bridge the gap between my fellow students and members of staff. I want to create a sense of belonging and unity within my cohort, making sure everyone is heard and feels seen. I will do this by communicating with my peers, understanding their wants, needs, worries and concerns, and relaying information back to relevant members of staff with ideas on how to make a positive change. I will aim to ensure everyone, as well as their academic interest, is being represented and I will make sure my fellow students are making the most of their studies and their time here at UCL.

In regards of experience, during my 2 years of A-levels i was the student rep for the school as well as a regular member of the school council attending meetings where i would act a voice for the other students explaining positives, negatives, wants and needs of change or activities/events.

I hope to achieve a sense of community in the faculty of medicine as students alike can share their views, opinion, and wants and not fear of ignorance or feeling they do not have someone to go to. A representative is not just someone takes a leadership role but is also a part of the student body to listen, help, accommodate, sympathize and be an action for change when needed.
All i can hope to do in this role is give back and support my fellow peers in the faulty.
