Election post

Status
Elected
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

Communication is both my strength and interest. As a former course rep, I enjoyed organizing events that involved large numbers of people. I grew up in the UK amidst a diverse array of ethnic groups and have friends from various backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. Being ethnically half-Japanese, a quarter-German, and a quarter-Greek, I naturally understand people from different backgrounds.

In my spare time, I enjoy performing piano for charity and meeting new people.

Therefore, I am well-equipped to connect students from different departments within the faculty.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I will create social, in-person events and a straightforward social media app for UCL students to use on their phones or computers to communicate freely. There will also be an anonymous helpline for those who may need support. Furthermore, I will create surveys to measure satisfaction rates across various metrics to assess which areas of the faculty can be improved.

Importantly, I will advertise more about the role of the faculty rep so that people are aware of the Education Zone, for example. This means that students of the faculty can become more involved in the faculty's decision-making.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Please vote for me to create events that you want and to ensure that your thoughts on how to improve UCL are heard. I will bridge the gap between the university and us students. Importantly, I want every student to be happy :)
