Erika Islamova

I’m standing for LUSL Recreational Team Captain because I know what it takes to compete and to lead. With 15 years of playing tennis, I understand the discipline, resilience, and teamwork required to perform under pressure. Having founded and captained my high school tennis club, I’ve seen what it takes to build a strong, motivated team culture. LUSL Recreational deserves a captain who will raise standards while protecting the inclusive culture that makes this team special. I will bring structured training, clear communication, and strong match preparation while keeping the environment supportive and enjoyable. Leadership to me is about accountability and consistency. I will prioritise clear expectations and will ensure that every player feels valued and confident in their role. Whether competing on court or supporting the team, everyone should feel part of something cohesive and ambitious. We won’t just show up to matches - we’ll show up prepared, united, and confident.
