Maria Sophie Maretschko

I am standing for Competition Secretary because I am very passionate about competitive tennis and would love the opportunity to contribute to the organisation of competitions within the club. As an active BUCS W2 player, I am highly engaged in university tennis and have a strong understanding of how important well-structured competitions are for both performance and enjoyment.

I would bring strong organisational skills, reliability, and enthusiasm to this role. I am proactive and enjoy taking responsibility, and I believe these qualities would help ensure competitions run smoothly and efficiently throughout the year. Furthermore, I enjoy working with others and helping create a positive and motivating competitive environment within the club.

Through this role, I would aim to make competitions well-organised, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone involved. I would be committed to supporting players, coordinating matches effectively, and helping maintain a competitive but supportive atmosphere within the society.
