Rare FM: Socials Manager

Hi! I'm Katie, and I'd love to be your Socials Manager @ RareFM this year! 

I'm a presenter on the station, but (beyond getting to talk about music) one of my favourite aspects of this has been the accompanying design work and promotion I've put into it. Highly creatively fulfilling, I've loved seeing this effort pay off; growing my show and having the opportunity to work with some amazing UCL artists all through the power of social media. Beyond this, I've been able to use social media to not only grow - but structure - my shows; engaging with my audience to create set lists, inform discussion topics and, of course, foster community and connection. I see it as instrumental to much of what I've been able to do, and would love the opportunity to take this on for the station; whether that be through contributing design and editing skills, creating a greater diversity of content, building community and engagement, the promotion of shows and artists or, simply, picking the perfect 30 seconds of a song for a post (my No1 talent, let's be real).
