Placing 1st at UCL and 13th worldwide in Jane Street's Estimathon, I have the quantitative instincts to lead the Algorithmic Trading division.

As Head of Algorithmic Trading I want to build a structured programme that takes members from strategy design fundamentals through to live implementation, covering backtesting frameworks, risk management, and options pricing. I plan to run hands-on workshops, organise trading competitions, and create a collaborative environment where members work on real systematic strategies together.

These are my experience that have help me built applied and theoretical sides of quantitative finance.

  • WTI futures trading bot using Random Forests and satellite data
  • Seven long/short ETF strategies backtested to 1.2+ Sharpe ratio
  • Quant research internship building ML frameworks for index forecasting
  • Independent research on finite difference methods for the Black-Scholes PDE
  • Top cohort, financial mathematics summer school
Anika Vijay

Hi, I am Anika and I would love to nominate myself for the position of Head of Events! Having had extensive experience in the industry at firms such as Jane Street (WiSE, INSIGHT), Citadel (Terminal, Datathon), Optiver (EU Chess Championship Final in Amsterdam), and SIG (Discovery Day) and at events like the Imperial Algothon (HRT, IMC, SIG, Wintermute, Old Mission, Jump Trading), I have developed comprehensive knowledge about hiring processes and what recruiters and interviewers look for in candidates (across trading, research, SWE, Algo Dev). I hope to host events that enhance your skills and CVs, and allow you to be in direct contact with recruiters and traders at some of these firms (and more). In particular, I look forward to hosting regular trading simulation activities and setting up our own quant fund. Thanks for your consideration!
