I’m applying for Women’s Officer for RUMS CC because I’m incredibly passionate about creating more space and confidence for women within the sport. Having played county cricket and captained my school team, I’ve experienced both the opportunities and the challenges that come with being a woman in what is still a largely male-dominated environment. Those experiences have made me a strong believer in women’s empowerment. I want to help actively create environments where girls feel supported, encouraged and capable of pushing themselves further.

Hardball cricket in particular can feel intimidating for many girls, especially if they haven’t grown up around it, and I’d love to help change that. Whether that’s through beginner-friendly sessions, mentorship, or simply fostering a more inclusive and confident team culture, my aim would be to help more girls step onto the pitch without hesitation. F. In a club where male teams may traditionally take up more space, I’d want to ensure women’s cricket continues to grow in visibility, competitiveness and community. I care deeply about making sure every girl who joins feels welcomed, valued and inspired to take up space both on and off the field.
