Atreyi Roy

I am standing for Deputy Head of Research because I care deeply about the quality, clarity, and impact of the work we produce. Research should not just be intellectually rigorous, it should be purposeful, structured, and accessible. I want to help cultivate an environment where ideas are challenged constructively, arguments are sharpened collaboratively, and every project is pushed beyond surface-level analysis. Over the past year, I have developed both the technical discipline and editorial instinct necessary to strengthen research output. I value precision, but I also value voice in ensuring that our work is not only correct, but compelling. As Deputy Head of Research, I would focus on refining methodological consistency, supporting newer researchers, and ensuring that each publication reflects the Institute’s highest standards. Most importantly, I am standing because I am invested in the mission, and in the intellectual ambition of the Institute. I want to help shape research that is not only well-written, but genuinely influential.
