Dion Ho

Hi everyone! I’m Dion and I would love to be your Vice President next year!

Ever since joining this society in my first year, yoga has become a regular and important part of my life. I genuinely appreciate how yoga can positively impact student wellbeing, as the classes have consistently been a highlight of my week, helping me unwind and relieve stress from uni work. With my strong leadership and coordination skills, I feel confident communicating effectively with instructors and members, organising engaging events, and encouraging more students to join and grow our yoga community.

If elected as Vice President, I would prioritise these key points:

  1. Enhanced Workshops and Events: Organise more engaging activities, such as outdoor yoga and meditation sessions in parks, charity initiatives, and regular yoga family meet-ups.
  2. Inclusivity and community: Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, making sure every member feels comfortable and included at the yoga classes and events
  3. Wellness support: Ensuring consistent access to support for members' mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing through relevant workshops, resources, and personal guidance.

I value teamwork and would love to collaborate closely with other committee members to keep improving the society and making it an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Jessica Ye

Hi! I’m Jessica and I’m running for the VP of Yoga & Meditation Club.

Yoga has brought me a deep sense of peace, balance, and connection, and I’m incredibly grateful for the community this club has built. Now, I’d love to give back by dedicating my time and energy as a Vice President. In this role, I will work closely with the President to support the club in every way possible––whether it’s communicating with teachers and members, organising classes, handling administrative duties, or ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. With previous experience in a similar role, I hope to apply my organisation and communication skills effectively to help the club thrive.

Most importantly, I want you to feel heard, supported, and part of something meaningful. I will actively gather your feedback and work with the committee to enhance our events, sessions, and overall experience. My goal is to share the sense of peace and balance that yoga has given me with more of you, while helping our community grow and flourish together.

Thank you for reading and I’d love your support:)
