I am standing for President because I love UCL Volleyball and the inclusive, welcoming atmosphere that defines our society. I am proud that so many students have started playing volleyball here and have grown their skills with the support of their teammates. At the same time, I value how the society enables experienced players to compete at a high level while keeping up with their academic commitments.
Over the past two years, I have witnessed incredible growth—not just in our teams but in the sense of community we have built. From grass volleyball and karaoke nights to team dinners and our very own ball, our events have brought people together like never before. As Social Secretary, I have worked hard to maintain this engagement, and as President, I would ensure it continues to thrive.
If elected, I will focus on strengthening our training structure, ensuring fair access to resources, and enhancing collaboration between teams. I aim to work closely with the Students’ Union to improve organization, plan ahead, and secure funding so that costs beyond membership are covered. I want to make volleyball at UCL more accessible, whether through more beginner-friendly sessions or better support for our competitive teams. Above all, I will strive to make our society a place where everyone—regardless of experience—feels valued, supported, and inspired to play.
Vote for me to continue growing this amazing community together!

Hi!
I am Izach, a 2nd year psychology student and one of your current Marketing Directors. The club has been a fun experience, from the social sessions to becoming a commentator for the varsity matches – it has allowed me to understand what works well in the society and what could be improved! I'm passionate and enthusiastic about the sport and dedicated to its growth, seen in my creative endeavours within the society. I consider myself to be approachable; I am open to listening to your feedback and allowing your voice to be heard. Having supported multiple roles in the club and acting as a referee for the TeamUCL social league, I am aware of the organisational and leadership skills necessary to ensure the smooth running of the volleyball society.
These are just some of the improvements I aim to bring:
Fostering a strong club culture – Everyone—whether new or experienced—should feel valued and included. I want to ensure that social and competitive players have opportunities to connect and learn from one another.
Expanding club engagement – Strengthening our media presence and enhancing our visibility within UCL and beyond. We will have more opportunities to join the media team (I am willing to teach you the skills I know!).
Expanding merchandise options – Wider range of club merch; many have spoken about better quality merch as well as potential for other products.
More events – Glow in the dark volleyball, more social hangouts, more competitive tournaments!
Can't wait for 25/26!
