Hello everyone! I'm Joe, and I love volleyball. After actively participating in these two terms, I have thoroughly enjoyed the social sessions and aim to maintain the fun and quality.
Aims as HEVO:
Maximise Playing Time: I understand how much everyone wants more volleyball. I plan to improve session efficiency by structuring sessions clearly, reducing waiting time and advocating for more social sessions.
Encourage Feedback: I'll implement regular feedback forms, allowing members to suggest improvements and new session activities. Your voice matters and I’d love to hear from you!
Build a Welcoming Community: I'll foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable joining and enjoying volleyball. I will achieve this through informal volleyball gatherings, friendly introductions, and icebreakers.
Organise Themed Sessions: I'll continue organising festive events (Christmas, Halloween, etc.) and introduce new themed social sessions for even more fun!
I'm enthusiastic, approachable, and dedicated to enhancing our volleyball community. With genuine passion, I'm excited to support and grow our volleyball society.
Thank you for your consideration and I appreciate your support. Let's keep volleyball fun for everyone!

As someone with an (almost) perfect attendance to social volleyball, in the past six months I've had the pleasure of meeting so many lovely members of the volleyball community. Volleyball at UCL has taken over a rapidly growing portion of my life and I've made many new friends through the social sessions.
I want to run for HEVO as I admire the work that the current HEVOs have done (+ ethan), whether it's organising tournaments or bringing out the best in the members. I've always had a passion for teaching anad I believe with this opportunity I can take a more active role in the social community to help those who want to improve their skills or don't feel confident in their abilities. I think this role meshes really well with my personality as I'm patient when it comes to teaching newcomers, enjoy watching those around me improve, love making new friends, and can be loud when needed :) .
I'm quite happy about how the social sessions are run at the moment. However, something I would change is switching up the structure every now and then and trying new games or drills to spice things up. I would mostly be listening to what the members have to say and taking their suggestions on what works and what doesn't! Furthermore, something I feel would be nice to see included is post-volleyball pub trips nearby open to whoever feels like coming along. Some of my best memories with you guys have been winding down with a pint and chat after a lovely volleyball session 🫶.
