Best decision I made this year was joining LUSL - because what a team it is. The energy, the people, the legendary socials (and the tennis) - it’s a legacy worth continuing, and that’s why I’m running for captain. Minuk has set an incredible example leading the team and bringing everyone so close together and I aspire to do the same. I want to keep up the good vibes, help everyone feel as welcome as I did, and, of course, make sure our society remains the best of UCL.
Being part of the LUSL team has been the best thing that has happened to me this year. I value this team enormously and if I am to be the captain of it, I will give my all to ensure the other members of LUSL can love it as much as I have this year. Having previously been captain of my football team and my handball team before that, I believe I have the necessary qualities to be a good captain. I have a strong sense of leadership and I love communicating with team members and keeping them motivated, especially during matches but also to come to weekly trainings. I’m very competitive but always with sportsmanship in mind (a little nod to Minuk). I am also a very organized person, which I think is important as I know the tennis captain has to take on quite a few responsibilities and I am confident that I can manage my time well to stay dedicated and fulfill them to the best of my ability. Finally, I can assure I will also encourage the members of my team to come to the weekly socials in hope to create an atmosphere as nice as we had this year !
