Tennis Club: Charities Officer

Hi everyone! My name is Hana and I’ll be running for Charities Officer. With 5+ years of experience of being Community Service Director in volunteering societies, I can assure that the same spirit will carry over into charity events for the tennis club. 

Throughout my past tenures, I have organised community service projects which include river conservation, collaborating with the Malaysian Association for the Blind, and working with Soup Kitchens to distribute food to the homeless. On top of that, I have led successful back-to-school donation drives, securing over RM5,000 in donations and significant school supply for underprivileged students affected by natural disasters. Beneficiaries included indigenous villages and schools impacted by floods. During the pandemic, I also played pivotal role in an initiative which set out to provide essential home and personal needs for the less fortunate, this project successfully raised RM20,000 to provide basic necessities when family’s were stuck at home during COVID-19 lockdown.

The atmosphere from last year’s charity tournament was extremely enjoyable, and knowing that funds go to a better cause makes it even more rewarding! I hope for the same this coming year, with plenty more fundraising events to look forward to.
