Telugu Society: Social Media and Advertising Officer

Hi, my name is Mahathi and I’m running for Social Media and Advertising Officer at UCL Telugu Society because it is an incredible opportunity to cherish and connect with my culture and help others to do so too by making it more accessible, celebrated and visible within our university. Additionally, through social media and advertising, I want to increase awareness of the society to attract more members and facilitate collaborations with other societies for organisation of events and socials to broaden horizons.

I’ve had some experience in advertising as a photographer when I was participating in the Young Enterprise competition, which was important for updating the social media to make people aware of changes, updates and events. During this, it was important to reach and appeal to a large range of audiences to maximise selling our product, through this I was able to develop effective organisation and communication skills which I can put to good use when working with other committee members as part of a team.

I am excited to bring new ideas, perspective, creativity and commitment to this role!
