Telugu Society: Cultural Events Officer

Hi everyone,

As cultural events officer, I’m hoping to get more events started so that we have more chances to meet other Telugu people and also shares our traditions . Furthermore, it would be a great opportunity to collaborate with other cultural societies as well.

Hi, my name is Mahathi and I’m running for Cultural Events Officer for UCL Telugu Society because it is an incredible opportunity to cherish and connect with my culture and help others to do so too by making it more accessible, celebrated and visible within our university by organising events for Telugu festivals which can also increase awareness of both the culture and the society within the university and facilitate collaborations with other societies to the broaden horizons of the society, for example with the celebration of Ugadi.

I’m committed and dedicated, and can guarantee I will make the most of this opportunity to help host events and socials to celebrate Telugu culture. I’m excited to be able to bring new ideas, a fresh perspective and creativity to the role and work in a team!
