TEDx Society: Events Director

My name is Angela, and I am a first-year Psychology student at UCL. With a strong background in event organisation and leadership, I am excited to contribute as an Events Director at TEDxUCL.

I served as the President of TEDxSCIE in my high school for three years, leading the society in hosting four annual TEDx conferences—three of which I oversaw as the primary organizer. Our themes included Gender Equality, Charity, and Genetics, along with an open-topic conference where speakers developed their own ideas. Additionally, I organized weekly seminars on topics such as Diversity and Artificial Intelligence, which closely align with the discussions at TEDxUCL.

Beyond TEDx, I was the President of my high school’s Student Union, where I coordinated major student-led events such as the Talent Show, 20th Anniversary Celebrations, and Food Fair. This role strengthened my communication, event management, and leadership skills, equipping me with the ability to handle large-scale events and work effectively with diverse teams.

With my experience in curating impactful discussions and engaging speakers, I am excited about the opportunity to enhance TEDxUCL’s events as the Events Director. I believe my experience will help bring more dynamic and well-executed events to TEDxUCL.
