Technology Society: Treasurer

Hi, I’m Asmita, a 2nd Year Computer Science Student! Having been a member of TechSoc for the last 2 years, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed partaking in various events from the Bloomberg BPuzzled Hack to the mentorship scheme. These experiences have provided me with incredible opportunities, and I want to ensure that every member continues to benefit from them.

That’s why I’m running for Treasurer – to ensure TechSoc’s resources are managed effectively, allowing us to fund more high-quality events, workshops, and initiatives. Budgeting responsibly and securing adequate funding are key to sustaining and expanding these opportunities, and I plan to work closely with the sponsorship team to make this happen.

With two years of experience on the AI Society committee, I understand the challenges of planning everything from large-scale hackathons to regular socials while balancing financial constraints. Through these experiences – and other leadership roles I’ve held – I’ve developed strong organisational and interpersonal skills that will help me turn ideas into actions and support the committee in delivering impactful events.

I look forward to contributing to TechSoc’s growth and supporting its mission!
