With my strong leadership experience, commitment to teamwork, and enthusiasm for sports, I am confident that I would make a great candidate for Female Captain of the UCL Taekwondo Society. My time as a Sport Leader has helped me hone important skills in communication, inclusivity, and motivation—traits that are vital for creating a supportive and empowering atmosphere within the team. Furthermore, my background in tutoring and professional environments has enhanced my ability to guide others, stay organized, and collaborate effectively. I am excited to contribute to the growth and success of our society, ensuring that every member feels motivated and inspired to reach their full potential.

I want to be Female Captain because Taekwondo has shaped who I am, teaching me discipline, resilience, and the value of a supportive community. Over the years, I’ve gained so much from this sport — the thrill of competition, a team, and personal growth — so I want to give back by helping others experience that same sense of growth and belonging.
As a black belt with experience in both sparring and poomsae competitions, I’ve built a strong technical foundation and the ability to focus under pressure. Teaching at Bozdag and Kixstar has allowed me to pass on that knowledge, helping others refine their skills and grow in confidence. Seeing someone improve because of my guidance is incredibly rewarding, and that’s a feeling I hope to extend to the whole club as captain :)
My experience as head girl and prefect has strengthened my leadership and organisational skills. I’m able to communicate effectively, handle logistical challenges, and keep things running smoothly. From managing kit and competition days to motivating members during training, I’m confident in my ability to handle the demands of the role.
What drives me most is the desire to create a supportive and motivating environment. I know how valuable it is to feel encouraged and included, so I’d aim to strike that balance encouraging competitive success (keep the winning streak going!) while ensuring everyone feels valued and supported. I’m ready to lead with the same passion and dedication that this sport has inspired in me!!

I love Taekwondo, and every single person who makes our UCL team special. As Women’s Captain, I would support and uplift every one of you so we can welcome new members and grow stronger together.
Coming to training can be daunting, especially in such a big team filled with talented (and seriously dangerous) people. That’s why I’ll be right by your side! If you need advice, some help getting back up, or a really loud cheerleader - I got you.
We’ve formed an amazing community around this sport. Our teammates make this club what it is, so it’s sad to know we’ll have to say goodbye to some of them at the end of the year. But the show must go on. I promise that as Captain, I’ll bring the energy and positive attitude to bring in new friendly faces and help our family Tae-kwon-grow.
For all of you who stick around with me ‘til next year, I can’t wait to grow alongside you and get to know y’all better. Other universities can say what they want about us, but we stick together - we all know who’s winning 9th time champions this year and 10th time next year!
Vote Adele for 2025 Women’s Captain!!!

I’m standing for this position because, after stepping back into taekwondo last September, I rediscovered just how much I love this sport. I didn’t realize how much I had missed it until I joined this club, and now, I want to give back by supporting and leading it in the best way I can. I have experience in leadership, from guiding youth groups to leading group projects and sports teams. I know what it takes to bring people together, support them and help them grow. A good captain isn’t just someone who leads - it’s someone who's understand and present. I’ve competed in every event, so I know what it feels like to step onto the mat, push through the nerves and give it your all. I’m at every Saturday and Wednesday session, ready to train alongside you, guide new members and encourage everyone to keep pushing forward. Motivation is key in taekwondo and I bring that drive both for myself and for others. I have a competitive spirit, a hunger to improve and a desire to see everyone succeed. Whether it’s chasing medals or simply getting better with every session, I’ll be there to push, support and inspire. Taekwondo is an incredible sport, and I want others to keep trying it out (just like convincing Krishna to do freestyle). I know what it’s like to doubt your own abilities. But, I also know that having someone to encourage and advise you is more valuable than any medal I’ve won or could have won. As your captain, I’ll be that person for you.
Let’s keep growing this club together!
