Hi everyone! My name is Harry, and I am running to be the UCL Table Tennis Society President as I am keen to create an inclusive and thriving community - an environment for all members, whether they are beginners or advanced players.
With a strong competitive background - having formerly represented England on the World Tour and played for UCL Men's 1st team - I feel that I can bring a high level of experience and insight into competitive play. Having grown up through various table tennis clubs and programs, including the Table Tennis England Youth Squad, I understand what makes a club environment successful. I want to bring this knowledge to UCL, enhancing our training sessions, expanding opportunities for competitive and casual play, and introducing initiatives like inter-club exchanges, potential workshops with professional coaches, and tailored squad programs.
My past leadership roles in college and my experience running a tutoring business have equipped me with the organizational and strategic acumen needed to lead effectively. I am willing, ambitious, proactive and ready to lead with fresh ideas and a strong vision for the future of our society. With your support, we can make a positive impact and make our club a standout example of excellence, inclusivity, and growth.
