As captain, I would lead by example, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a relentless drive to improve. Shengkai Xia

I have dedicated over ten years to table tennis, refining my technical skills and competitive mindset through intensive training and tournaments. This journey has fueled my passion for collaboration and leadership. As Men’s Captain, I am eager to leverage my expertise to elevate team performance and foster an encouraging environment.

In high school, I actively engaged in student union, society activities, and work with the school TV station—experiences that sharpened my communication and event planning skills, both essential for effective leadership. Serving as the men’s team captain in several training camps in Shanghai taught me the value of mentorship and teamwork, inspiring unity, shared strategies, and collective celebration.

My achievements include winning the singles championship at the Shanghai Youth Table Tennis Championship, earning a spot on the Shanghai team, and achieved our team's top result at  the BUCS Championships. I actively attended the BUCS league matches as well. These successes reflect not only technical excellence but also the perseverance, resilience, and focus I bring to every challenge.

Driven by a desire to contribute to our student community, I aspire to inspire others through the sport I love, create a supportive network on campus, and ensure our team spirit resonates throughout the university. Combining leadership skills, competitive experience, and genuine enthusiasm, I am confident in making a meaningful impact as Men’s Captain.
