Eleanor Quah

As the Welfare Officer for UCL Swimming Society, I want to prioritize creating an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming environment for all members. I am passionate about mental well-being and ensuring that everyone feels comfortable, whether they're seasoned competitors or just casual swimmers! I would actively listen to members' concerns, promote open discussions about mental health, and work closely with the committee to implement initiatives that enhance overall well-being and ensure that every swimmer feels valued and supported within the society. ◡̈

Taking up a sport is not easy, whether you are competing at a competitive level or for fitness. Each involves its own set of challenges. As a former competitive swimmer, I understand these struggles. The pressure to represent your university and the anxiety of being part of a large community can be overwhelming. That’s why I want to run for this role—I aim to make the swimming society a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for everyone. I will always be here to address your concerns or simply chat if you need someone to talk to. 😇
