Hey everyone! I'm Evelyn and I would love to be one of your new fitness captains next year. Throughout the last year I have really enjoyed being a part of the UCL fitness squad, and want to become more involved and give something back to the society. It would be amazing to be able to continue the fitness squad's supportive environment, where getting in a workout can be combined with a much needed break from the business of university. My main goal would be to organise swimming sets for everyone so that they can get the most out of their time in the pool, and I would be happy to receive feedback and suggestions of changes that people might want to make week to week.
I have also swum competitively in regionals in the past, and had many years of technique training so would be more than happy to help anyone getting more comfortable in the water to improving strokes and technique. More than anything, I would hope to see people enjoying their swimming and improving their skills further, and that I would be an approachable person that is happy to answer any questions and is always willing to listen :)

I am standing for the fitness captain role in the UCL Swimming Society, as I want to continue deepening my involvement in a community that promotes health, fitness, and strong connections among its members. Having taken on the role of fitness captain from Term 2 this year, I have already had the opportunity to contribute to training sessions and support members of all abilities. However, I believe there is still more I can bring to the role, and I am eager to further enhance the training experience for everyone.
As an ex-competitive swimmer, my passion for the sport drives me to promote swimming as an inclusive and enjoyable activity for all, regardless of skill level. I firmly believe that swimming is an invaluable life skill and an excellent way to stay fit, whether for competition or leisure. My goal as fitness captain is to continue developing engaging, structured sessions that cater to all abilities—from beginners who may feel intimidated to experienced swimmers looking to refine their technique. Also, I want to foster an encouraging and supportive environment where members feel motivated to connect, improve, and find a true sense of belonging in the community.
Through my experience as fitness captain, I have gained valuable insight into the key components of effective training, including technique, endurance, and session planning. This role has also strengthened my leadership and communication skills, and I am eager to build on this foundation to better support others in their swimming journeys. My enthusiasm and
