I am standing for the fitness captain role in the UCL Swimming Society, as I want to continue deepening my involvement in a community that promotes health, fitness, and strong connections among its members. Having taken on the role of fitness captain from Term 2 this year, I have already had the opportunity to contribute to training sessions and support members of all abilities. However, I believe there is still more I can bring to the role, and I am eager to further enhance the training experience for everyone.

As an ex-competitive swimmer, my passion for the sport drives me to promote swimming as an inclusive and enjoyable activity for all, regardless of skill level. I firmly believe that swimming is an invaluable life skill and an excellent way to stay fit, whether for competition or leisure. My goal as fitness captain is to continue developing engaging, structured sessions that cater to all abilities—from beginners who may feel intimidated to experienced swimmers looking to refine their technique.  Also, I want to foster an encouraging and supportive environment where members feel motivated to connect, improve, and find a true sense of belonging in the community.

Through my experience as fitness captain, I have gained valuable insight into the key components of effective training, including technique, endurance, and session planning. This role has also strengthened my leadership and communication skills, and I am eager to build on this foundation to better support others in their swimming journeys. My enthusiasm and commitment to creating a welcoming and dynamic
