Sudanese Society: Welfare Officer

As someone deeply passionate about Sudanese culture and community, I am committed to making a meaningful difference as the welfare officer. I believe in the importance of ensuring every member feels supported,  valued and included, regardless of where they are from.

Having being a student away from home myself, I’ve experienced first hand how much it means to find a sense of belonging. Whilst joining the Sudanese society, it made me realise this group is more than just a society, it is a home for those who are far from home. As the welfare officer I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone to join, connect and celebrate our shared culture together. 

I would describe myself as an individual who is approachable, friendly and dedicated to making a real impact. I would truly love  the opportunity to serve as the welfare officer, where I could help to provide guidance, resources and safe spaces to ensure that everyone feels like a valued part of this society.

I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to the Sudanese, I am ready to bring dedication, passion and experience to the role of welfare officer to make a change.
