Jaspreet Sidhu

The Sikh community at UCL is built on seva, unity, and shared values, and I want to help grow and strengthen our society by ensuring our events, initiatives, and message reach as many people as possible. As Marketing Officer, I will use my creativity, organisation, and communication skills to enhance our online presence, increase engagement, and make Sikh Society more accessible to all students.

What I Will Bring to the Role:

  • Stronger Social Media Presence – I will create engaging, high-quality content to promote events, share Sikh values, and keep members informed. From eye-catching graphics to interactive posts, I’ll make sure our platforms stay active and exciting.
  • Increased Engagement & Outreach – I will expand our reach by collaborating with other societies, ensuring more students discover and get involved with Sikh Society.
  • Clear & Consistent Communication – I will ensure that event promotions, updates, and key information are shared effectively across social media and group chats.
  • Creative Marketing Strategies – I will introduce new ways to engage members, such as behind-the-scenes content, testimonials, and interactive campaigns to keep the community connected.

I believe that I am well suited for this role because I am organised, creative, and passionate about Sikh Society’s growth. With strong organisation and a creative approach, I will ensure Sikh Society’s events and initiatives are well-promoted and accessible to everyone.

I am excited to be running for Marketing Officer of UCL’s Sikh Society.

As a first-year representative, I’ve gained valuable experience in engaging with the community, and I am eager to bring this knowledge to help elevate our society’s presence on campus. If elected, I will work to ensure that our society reaches more people, strengthens its presence on campus, and fosters a greater sense of community.

My focus as Marketing Officer will be on enhancing communication and visibility. I will utilise social media and university platforms to promote our events and activities effectively, ensuring that every member feels informed and engaged. I plan to create visually compelling content that not only promotes our events but also highlights the significance of Sikh culture and values, ensuring we reach a wider and diverse audience.

I will collaborate with the committee to create marketing campaigns that are creative, inclusive, and reflective of the society's mission. By maintaining consistent, engaging content, we can raise awareness of Sikhism and ensure that everyone, whether they are members or not, knows about the positive impact our society has.

Above all, my aim is to bring people together and encourage more participation in our activities, creating a stronger sense of belonging within our society.

With your support, I am confident we can elevate the Sikh Society to new heights and inspire even more students to join us in celebrating and promoting our rich culture.
