Joining this team, I knew I’d found something special. The friendships, the challenges, the wins, and losses have shaped my university experience in ways I never expected. That’s why I’m running for Vice President; I want to make sure everyone gets to experience the best of what our club has to offer.
The welcoming nature of this team is what sets it apart, and I want to ensure every member, new or returning, feels valued and included. Listening to every voice and creating the best atmosphere for the sport we love is my top priority. As VP, I’ll give my all to supporting the president and committee, whether it’s ordering stash or working with the SU.
I have experience in high-pressure roles where I’ve managed people, made quick decisions, and worked toward a larger vision. I’ve communicated directly with manufacturers and suppliers, negotiating and maintaining essential relationships. I’ll even be going back to that job until next season, so I’ll have lots of practice! I know what it takes to build and sustain important partnerships, just as I will within and beyond committee.
As VP, my goal is simple: to make sure this club is the best it can be. I’ll be here to support the President, help in whatever way I can, and ensure every member feels heard. Most importantly, I want to help build a club culture where we support each other both as players and as friends.
This team has given me so much, and I’d love the chance to give back. Let’s make next season unforgettable!♥️
AND IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO BE YOUR PRES AND WANT ME AS VP INSTEAD... (it's literally the same statement as my pres nomination so don't bother reading the rest - mainly depends if you want me or Charlotte more)
I believe I will effectively manage and delegate to the rest of the committee rather well, ensuring things all run smooth operator style. Organising sidequests for us all is something I'd like to continue once (if...) I become President; BELOVED MYSTERY TOUR, the PWR final, or simply booking pubs for the Six Nations.
One of my biggest priorities is improving player welfare. Rugby is as much about the people as it is about the sport, and I want to ensure that every member feels supported, through better injury management and mental health support. Reassuring players that it is more than okay to take a break if you unfortunately succumb to an injury. I would also like to get better pitches for us all, ideally closer to campus - so we can avoid the piccy line at all costs - dw it'll be near a pub.
Of course, no rugby season is complete without cracking socials, I’m determined to make sure our events are unforgettable (depends how much booze is involved, possibly leading to some forgetfulness). As we all know, I bloody love Scala, and I want to spread this love with everyone else 🫶 it may be hard to beat last years mystery tour... but I'm sure we can match what we got up to (my memory is a bit blurred but I can recall tour involved the birth of Melvin)

Hello lovely ladies! Having spent an incredible year with all of you, enjoying the sport we have all come to love, I’ve decided to put myself forward to become your Vice Prez of UCLWRFC. At the end of tour this year, I was given the prize for most committed to the bit and I promise that I will continue to commit my all to making sure the club can become the best it can be. The reason I want to do this is because I will work with the President to achieve goals that everyone commonly thinks about. Whilst thinking about this manifesto, I have put together a list of a few things to give you an idea of what could be to come:
- New pitch for training: I will work towards finding us a training ground closer to campus, to make rugby more accessible to everyone.
- Welfare: Ensuring that every player feels comfortable and at home in the club through families, socials and group activities, and making sure people have a proper work-rugby-life balance.
- Tour: I would make tour the best one yet. Obviously I cannot disclose my plans, but trust me it’ll be unforgettable.
- Prioritising Recruitment
- Additional Funding (sponsorship)
- Community Outreach
Above all, I want to be VP because I want to help lead a club that is fun, creative and that inspires people at UCL to try something new. I came into rugby having had little experience in playing, and I have come to love it, so to be able to make a difference for the club in a positive way would be my greatest honour.
Biggest love,
Your Kung Fu Char xxx
