I am standing for the role as Charity Secretary because I am passionate about making a meaningful impact within society and the wider community. This role provides a great opportunity for me to drive positive change through fundraising events and collaboration with various societies and organisations. I feel my range of skills, such as excellent communication, innovation and adaptability, will suit this role perfectly, to effectively promote exciting events and liaise with charities, ensuring engagement from all members of the club. My previous experiences in charity events, such as a half marathon,  will help me succeed in this role. I am excited to contribute my skillset and passion for rugby to support the club's charitable initiatives.

Serving as Charity Secretary for UCL Men's Rugby would be a tremendous honour. Leading efforts to raise funds for meaningful causes such as men's mental health, would be incredibly rewarding knowing that our contributions have made a real difference in people's lives. Along with two teammates and PE staff, at my old school we organised numerous charity events to raise money for the Movember foundation. These included an ice bucket challenge at the £100 pound mark, and built its way up to our goal of £1000, where a 1st XV player and school captain would bleach his hair. We managed to hit this target comfortably within the month, and after reflecting on our campaign we gave tips to the next year of 'seniors' in order to improve and raise more money next year. I would like to emulate this at UCL, working with the previous charity secretary Seb Dibb to further improve efforts and build on last year. I was thoroughly captivated by the 2024 Movember campaign and incentivised me to donate. This is the feeling I want to resonate with anyone who comes across UCLMRFC during the November 2025. Leading efforts in making a difference to a cause that means so much to me and the club would be a privilege and I would be keen to throw myself into the role.
