Hi, I’m Lillie! As a presenter for Pi TV, I’ve had the privilege of helping to create engaging content for Pi Media’s audiences both on and off screen! Being a BA English student means I have a deep understanding of storytelling and the power of words, which I would love to channel into my role as Co-Editor in Chief. I’m driven by the belief that Pi Media has a long-lasting legacy as UCL’s leading platform for authentic, fresh & diverse journalism. My long-term goal of being a broadcast journalist makes me even more determined to elevate Pi Online even more than before - I’d love to continue its impact!

I believe PiOnline is an incredibly accessible platform for student writers, and I would love to help further develop and expand it. I have seen firsthand how valuable PiOnline is in giving students a voice, and I want to ensure that even more people feel encouraged to contribute, regardless of their prior writing experience. Writing multiple articles this year has deepened my appreciation for journalism’s ability to educate others, and spark fascinating thoughts and discussion. The weekly article prompts always challenge me to research topics I might never have explored otherwise, broadening my perspective in unexpected ways. Additionally, reading the work of fellow students has been both inspiring and eye-opening. I find that learning about global issues and affairs through the lens of a student voice highlights the importance of diverse perspectives and the need for a space where opinions can be freely shared and debated.
Furthermore, through my experience as an editor for DIVEBOMB Motorsport Magazine, I have learned to uphold high editorial standards, guiding writers to better clarity of writing without losing their authenticity. As Editor-in-Chief, I would work to expand PiMedia’s reach and ensure it remains a platform where students feel empowered to express their thoughts, develop their writing, and engage in meaningful conversations.

Hey everyone! My name is Tiegan, and this year I have been a co-editor of Opinion, while occasionally studying History…
I love Pi’s variety and commitment to welcoming writers from all backgrounds, making for a dynamic learning environment, always shifting perspectives. Pi’s broad coverage encourages thinkers to grow - I’ve even written for Science and Tech. Who said an old dog can’t learn new tricks?
I’m running for co-EIC to get more students involved as part of Pi’s ethos to increase accessibility to the arts. Everyone deserves an outlet, and Pi values these contributions in making sense of our world.
I want to:
- Strengthen collaboration between writers and editors through frequent co-writing sessions, and mentoring – fostering relationships beyond email.
- Make pitching and writing less intimidating, increasing output, by crafting ‘How to’ guides for each section.
- Maintain our dynamic newsroom, ensuring a clear publishing process and commission output to spark new writers’ attention.
- Expand multimedia content within Pi, collaborating with artists to integrate visual storytelling and graphics into articles.
- Create more news correspondent roles, increasing opportunity for on-campus coverage.
My year at Pi taught me its heart, character, and the leadership needed to maintain the work of our current, excellent co-EIC's. I hope to effectively lead the editorial team and continue the vital student journalism pillar we have built.
I cherish Pi, and as co-EIC, I hope others will too.

Pi deserves an Online Editor-in-Chief who can spot a misplaced comma from a mile away, turn passing thoughts into pieces of substance, and make student journalism formidable. That’s where I come in.
My journey with Pi began immediately after I joined UCL, and I have since found myself in a committed relationship with it. As a current Section Editor for the Lifestyle & Culture column, I’ve transformed articles from rough drafts to articulated, polished pieces - ensuring our content stays engaging and typo-free. I’ve written and edited for our print and online divisions, and while I truly enjoyed every minute of both, there's something uniquely gratifying about a community built on the accessibility of digital media.
Student journalism bewitches me as I write with integrity, passion, and a bit of flair, committed to being my peers' source of ethical and trustworthy news. I want to bring these sentiments to Pi’s online presence, not simply as a reporter, but as someone who inspires others to tell stories that matter.
My vision for the next academic year is simple: Think news, think Pi - a magazine with a powerful online presence, expanded reach, and well-written articles that are actually read. That means boosting engagement, optimising content, and making our website as slick as our journalism.
The press is more than just words on a screen - it is impact, influence, and an occasional argument in the comment section. Vote for me, and let’s continue to build Pi's legacy together.

I am eager to stand as Co-Editor for Pi Media Online because I am passionate about storytelling, investigative journalism, and fostering engaging discourse.
My experience in journalism extends beyond Pi Media. I founded Chronoscope, an independent platform where I have written and edited publications on current affairs, historical narratives, and sports. I expanded its reach to over 1,000 site visitors through SEO implementation and audience engagement strategies.
As a Co-Editor, I would bring a combination of editorial leadership, creativity, and adaptability to the role. I aim to support writers in developing compelling content while ensuring high journalistic standards. Furthermore, I am committed to making Pi Media a space where diverse perspectives thrive, fostering a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment.
With my experience in content creation, research, and editorial leadership, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Pi Media and help shape its future direction.
