Hey everybody, Mariusz here.
Ever since I joined the club after our collab session with skate in 23/24, I've felt like I've finally met my people, and my sport. The memories we made on the trip to Portugal that year will stay with me forever ✨
The sense of love and community amongst our membership is something truly special. I'm blessed to have grown so close to you all, and I'm extremely proud of the progress everyone has made this past year!
I'm so excited to be running to be your President next year!
Why am I well-suited to this role?
• I have three years of experience in (Skate) committee positions
- During this time I have been responsible for organising and running sessions, working with other clubs (including Parkour!) and I built ours a website!
- I've learnt what does and doesn't work in running a committee, and will bring this knowledge to this role
• My enthusiasm for this club is limitless
- I attend almost every session 💪
- I strive to encourage other members to give it their all, and it makes me immensely happy to see them subsequently succeed!
• I love training parkour!
What will I do if elected?
• ensure individual committee members are not overwhelmed with their tasks 🙇
• ensure communications are better presented, easier to find and harder to drown out. This includes getting a website up and running by the start of Term 1, if this hasn't happened before the committee handover 💬
• continue to provide encouragement and teaching to other members
• give it my all!
