Growing up in England with family roots in Karachi and living for four years in Islamabad, I’ve always been the most patriotic Pakistani. Whether it’s speaking fluent Urdu, debating Karachi vs. Lahore food, or being the biggest Pakistan Cricket Fan (even though we’re dreadful), I love everything about our culture.
That’s exactly what I want to bring to PakSoc- events that celebrate our culture, bring people together, and, most importantly, are well-organised. As Treasurer, I’d make sure we have the budget to pull off the biggest and best events. With experience in investment banking, audit, and running my own businesses, I know how to manage finances, secure funding, and track expenses properly.
Whether it’s cricket screenings, cultural nights, or chai socials, I’d ensure we maximise our resources, so every event is as exciting as possible. PakSoc should be a space where people connect over the best country in the world, and I’d love to help make that happen.

I want to help PakSoc grow sustainably and make the most of our resources. With my background in finance and experience in university societies, I can ensure effective budgeting, secure sponsorships, and maintain transparency in managing funds. My goal is to strengthen the society’s financial position so we can regularly organise engaging and exciting events and opportunities for members and non-members while ensuring long-term success.

Growing up, I’ve always been passionate about bringing people together and celebrating our culture. With my experience as Treasurer and Head of Events at my school, I successfully managed budgets, secured sponsorships, and optimised costs—raising 500% more funds than the previous year. This allowed us to host larger, more engaging events without financial strain. Now, I want to bring that same energy and strategic mindset to the Pakistan Society.
I believe we can take our events to the next level—making them bigger, better, and more engaging while staying financially responsible. My experience in budgeting, sponsorships, and financial planning will help ensure that every event is well-funded and sustainable. From organising fundraisers to managing ticket sales efficiently, I want to ensure our society thrives financially, allowing us to host unforgettable cultural celebrations, networking opportunities, and social gatherings.
I want to help create a society that reflects that warmth and belonging for every member. If elected Treasurer, I’ll work tirelessly to make sure we have the financial resources to turn our ideas into reality. Let’s make the Pakistan Society stronger than ever!
I LOVE PAKISTAN! PAKISTAN ZINDABAD!
Vote for me, and let’s make it happen! 🚀🇵🇰

Mustafa Ahmed for Treasurer – The Best Investment for PakSoc’s Future
Greetings, PakSoc Members!
I’m Mustafa Ahmed, your Vice President, and I’m running to be your next Treasurer. Having led PakSoc’s biggest events and operations, I know how to take this society to the next level—bigger events, lower costs, and smarter budgeting.
Why Me?
✔ Proven Experience: As VP, I helped scale our biggest events and understand what works. I’ll ensure every penny is optimised for an even better PakSoc.
✔ Economics Expertise: Studying Economics at UCL means I know how to budget, maximize value, and keep events affordable.
✔ I Know How PakSoc Runs: I’ve handled venue bookings, logistics, and planning. As Treasurer, I’ll ensure financial efficiency from day one.
My Plan
🏛 Larger Venues & Early-Bird Deals – Booking bigger venues and vendors early to cut costs by 10-20%, allowing larger events whilst reducing ticket prices.
👕 PakSoc Hoodies & Quarter-Zips – Profits from exclusive merch will be reinvested into events to reduce costs for members.
🎟 Exclusive Member Discounts & Subsidies – I’ll introduce PakSoc member perks, including discounted tickets and priority access for all of our events, ensuring members get the best value for their money.
Vote Mustafa Ahmed for Treasurer – I’ll budget so well, even your mum won’t say ‘Beta, why are you wasting money?’ when you buy a ticket 🎟️💷
As a Pakistani Kashmiri BSc Computer Science student, I'm running for Treasurer of the UCL Pakistan Society because I want to contribute my analytical and organisational skills to ensure the society's financial stability and growth. My tech background gives me a strong understanding of data management and budgeting, which I believe are essential for effective financial oversight. I'm passionate about fostering a vibrant community for Pakistani students at UCL, and I see the Treasurer role as a crucial way to support that mission by ensuring responsible and transparent management of the society's funds.
