Rosa Rothwell

Hey I’m Rosa, I’m running for Welfare Officer and Vice-Pres this year!

I’ve spoken a fair bit about myself in my Welfare Officer speech so go there to read a bit about me if you’d like.

As for why I think I’d make a good Vice-President, the main two roles are organising kit and summer tour. I’m a bit of a spreadsheet and google maps warrior- I organised a month long interrail trip last year, which included booking over 10 different hostels, managing our group budget, trains between 10 countries,  and being the directions person nearly the whole time (basically all training for booking a summer netball tour).

As for organising kit, my spreadsheeting skills will definitely come in handy AND I have been a fashion intern at two shows last year, as part of my art foundation, which involved lots of carrying valuable garments between venues (training for carrying our valuable kit to the student centre for you to pick up) and also being an usher for the show, so directing models and guests everywhere so managing that kind of chaos in handing out kit will come in handy.

That aside I was also a deputy head at school, which involved a lot of the organisational skills needed for Vice-Pres, especially as I know there are a lot of roles I’ll help President with, which I’m prepared to take on!
