Hi I'm Emer,
Let's be honest UCNC is the best society at UCL and let's make sure it stays that way! I'm running for President because I would love to give back to this club that has given so much to me.
For those of you who don't know me, I'm Irish and American but I grew up in London. I am currently studying Chemistry and last year I was in Social netball and this year, Competitive netball. Both are very different but together that is what makes up UCNC. I believe as president with my experience of being in both aspects of the club I would be able to fully unite this club and make it as strong and inclusive as it can be!
This will need many things such as drive, time management and an enthusiasm to build on the successes of the previous leadership. While I am busy with my Chemistry degree, I have been fully committed to netball and I have experience of both time management and leadership as Head Girl at my school.
Focus for next year: having a 2nd round of trials in Jan/Feb as players may be missed but also as shown from this year, injuries sadly do happen and girls are called up from social and this is only fair if there's an opportunity for all.
UCNC has really made a huge impact on my time at UCL and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time playing in matches and meeting all the amazing people that make up this society. Maddie has done such an excellent job this year and so I hope I can follow in her footsteps to keep making this club as great as it can be!
Hi everyone! For those who know me, they will know my love for UCNC. It has made every part of my uni experience and I couldn't imagine my life without it. I was captain of the 3s last year as well as PR Secretary where I loved being more involved with the runnings of the club. I feel that my experience as captain as well as on the committee will set me in good stead for President as I will be able to teach/help the captains with the ins and outs of the process which is very confusing at points. My favourite part of being PR Sec was responding to all the possible new members before trials, I see myself as a warm, welcoming and chatty person so I think these qualities would make me a good president. Some of you may not know me as I am currently on my study abroad in Florida. Whilst I have been here I was privileged enough to rush and join the sorority Delta Zeta. Being part of such an entrenched organization of sisterhood has given me so many ideas that I think would be perfect to incorporate into UCNC, such as big/little sister pairings. I know people have tried to implement these in the past, but with the knowledge of the exact process from the sorority, I believe that I could incorporate these into the society to enhance everyones experiences! On top of this, many of my close friends were in the committee 23/24 so I know how lots of the positions work and I even helped in viewing our locations for the Netball in 2024 which was great. f I don't get President I would love to
