Mahveen Ajid

As the current Treasury Representative for the UCL Muslimah Careers Society, I have had experience in managing event budgets and supporting the committee in securing funding that aligns with our goals and values. Now, I am eager to take on the role of Treasurer to further strengthen our financial planning and sustainability, enabling us to continue running valuable opportunities for our members.

My experience with budgeting and financial oversight during previous internships and volunteering roles has equipped me with the skills to allocate resources effectively, track spending, and explore potential funding opportunities to expand the society’s impact. I have worked with local community organisations, sole vendors and companies to manage donations and funding, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term relationships. I am committed to ensuring our financial processes are transparent, organised, and aligned with the MCS' unique vision of empowering Muslim women in their professional journeys.

As Treasurer, I will work closely with the committee to secure sponsorships, streamline financial planning, and ensure that every initiative is well-funded and successful. I am passionate about the mission of UCL Muslimah Careers Society, especially as an Economics student exploring careers that align with my beliefs. I would be honoured to contribute further and I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the society and make a lasting impact for Muslim women at UCL.
