Music has always been at the heart of my life as a student. During my year abroad in California, I witnessed firsthand the incredible power of music to forge deep, transnational connections, bringing me and others together no matter how far away I was from home. Being part of a thriving music community at UC Santa Barbara, reinforced just how vital these spaces are. It has been an essential part of my exchange experience, and I now feel more inspired than ever to contribute to UCL’s music scene.

As I return to London this June, I am eager to bring back this appreciation and energy to UCL. As Social Media and Marketing Officer, I want to amplify the incredible talent within UCL’s live music scene, engaging both new and current students. My goal is to showcase the immense artistry of UCL’s musicians while also encouraging others to rediscover or explore their musical passions, whether they left them behind in school or have yet to embrace them!

During my time abroad, I have followed UCL Live Music Society from afar, admiring the dedication of its team, the high-caliber events, and the strong social media presence that fuels its momentum. I understand the professionalism and commitment required to support this community. During my final year at UCL, I am excited by the prospect of finishing my time as a student by stepping into this role. With fresh insights from my time overseas and a deep passion for live music, I look forward to contributing to UCL’s music culture.
