University life is stressful. You need to go for lectures, study for 2957048 tests, meet your personal tutor, clean your room, do laundry... And that doesn't even include all the friends you want (need) to catch up with, plus the Life Science Society events that you've (very enthusiastically) signed up for. So, while we're all struggling (me included) with these things (and various others), I'm willing to put in the extra effort to ensure that some of these things (okay, at least one - the LSS) takes the load off your shoulders, and help in whichever way I can. While I cannot guarantee that I can help with your schoolwork (my flavour of Life Sciences - Biomedical Sciences - is rather specific), I will strive to contribute to the LSS in such a way that during our events - and outside of them - your welfare is taken care of to the best of my abilities. Having had mental health support training, I am uniquely equipped to help with such matters, and am absolutely willing to take time out of my day to be your listening ear. Whether it's relationship issues (or lack thereof), upcoming tests, financial matters, or just life in general - I'll be there to listen and, if needed, signpost you to the necessary resources. I aim to always have your welfare in mind, so vote for me - and then go touch some grass (but only after you've voted).
(Also, go drink some water. And sit up straight.)

Hello everyone, I'm Tao, a 2nd year Biomedical Sciences student, and I will be running for Welfare Officer this year. Please vote me for good vibes!
