Saloni Shirke

Hey everyone! I’m Saloni, and I’m running to be your Life Science Society Social Rep!

If there’s one thing I love, it’s bringing people together—whether it’s over a great night out, a casual get-together, or just bonding over how brutal lab reports can be! As a Biochemistry Student Rep, I’ve worked to make our department more connected, and now I want to do the same for all of life sciences—but with even more fun involved!

I’ve always loved hosting themed parties and creative events (seriously, give me a theme, and I’ll run with it). As the President of my high school’s Art Council, I organised exciting student events, and I’ve also been involved in running socials, outreach projects, and community fundraisers. I know how to create fun, inclusive, and well-organised events where people actually want to show up!

If elected, I’ll bring:
🎭 Unique, themed socials – Think beyond the usual; let’s make every event an experience!
👥 More chances to meet people – Whether you love big nights out or chill study breaks, there’ll be something for you.
📢 Better event updates – No more last-minute plans—everyone will always be in the loop.

University can be stressful, but the Life Science Society should be your space to unwind, connect, and have a great time. If you want a creative, approachable, and enthusiastic Social Rep—vote for me!
