Manuel Martello

Ciao a tutti! I'm Manuel Martello, a second-year BSc Information Management for Business student.

I’m running for Treasurer because I want to help improve our Italian Society. A strong financial plan means more and better events for all of us, and that’s exactly what I aim to deliver.

My main goal is to bring in more sponsorships and partnerships, especially long-term ones, so we have a stable source of funding. This would allow us to not only increase the number of events but also improve their quality and cover aspects the Society currently isn’t focusing on.

With a stronger budget, we could also afford to host more free taster events across different topics, giving people a chance to experience what the Society has to offer and hopefully encouraging them to join us as members.

Thanks to my degree background, I know how to budget efficiently and keep track of spending, making sure our funds are used in the best possible way. Plus, being an extrovert who loves negotiating, I’m confident I can secure great deals that will benefit the Society and everyone in it.

I’d love the chance to make this happen. So, if you believe in this vision, I’d really appreciate your support!

Grazie mille!

Manuel

Beatrice Baldi

Ciao a tutti!

My name is Beatrice Baldi, and I’m an Italian first-year Politics and International Relations student looking to be your 2025-26 Italian Society Treasurer. During my first year, I had the pleasure of serving as First Year Representative, which allowed me to gain experience working within the committee and has spurred me to seek a further role in next year’s team.
Campaigning alongside Sebastiano Longo (Presidential candidate) and Giulia Matteucci (Head of Events candidate), we aim to expand and strengthen our society’s presence within the Student Union and as a fundamental unit of the United Italian Societies. This entails organising events with key Italian political figures, such as the Italian Ambassador Inigo Lambertini and Consul General Domenico Bellantone, as well as collaborating with figures in the entertainment and music industries.

As Treasurer, my goal would be to carefully balance the society’s finances to ensure that whether it be working alongside other societies for academic events or budgeting for socials, we can maximize our events' impact. In addition, I would endeavor to make memberships more valuable by exploring discounts at Italian cafes and restaurants to attract more people and truly delve all members into Italian culture.

Grazie mille for your support, and I look forward to seeing you all in September!
A presto,
Beatrice
