If you had invested just $1,000 in NVIDIA in 2003, you’d have over $600,000 today. Wise investments pay off, and- through my 3-pillar strategy below- I hope you see that voting for me is one of them.
-
Expand the Finance Conference
The finance conference is our flagship event, but we can take it to new heights. By securing high-profile speakers from IBD to AM to PE, we’ll provide members with invaluable insights and networking opportunities, making it a must-attend event; a direct pipeline to industry leaders and career opportunities.
-
Grow Our £10k Investment Portfolio
My goal is to expand our current £10k portfolio by diversifying asset classes and introducing a structured investment strategy. We’ll analyze idiosyncratic opportunities in equities and ETFs, ensuring members gain exposure to real-world portfolio management. By involving students in decision-making through an investment committee, we’ll create an environment where learning meets capturing alpha.
-
Strengthen Mentorship
I will organize tailored events for first, second and third year students, addressing the specific challenges and opportunities at each stage. This approach ensures that every member receives relevant, impactful experiences. Additionally, we’ll organize exclusive career development sessions covering CV building, technical interview prep, and networking strategies.
To make this possible, your vote is crucial. Together, let’s make our Investment Society the best it can be. I value your
I believe that networking with professionals, gaining real-world investment experience and the opportunity to discover new career paths mean that the events are the core of the UCL Investment Society. Events like the flagship Finance Conference are what drives the student members, alumni and professionals to create relationships with each other. Having been deputy house captain at my secondary school where I organised fortnightly morning assemblies for students and having formally interviewed a university professor last year, I want to combine my experiences to organise attractive events for members and for guests to speak at.
Furthermore, I would like for there to be an increased frequency of events and make the process of connecting with professionals easier so that the number of new potential relationships can be optimised. I would also like to work closely with outreach and marketing so that an increased number of expert professionals can present to larger audiences of students and members, so that both parties can fully benefit from the opportunity and that Investment Society continues being the leading society that equips students with knowledge and skills to pursue a financial career.
As a strategic thinker with a proven track record in high-impact initiatives, I am driven to elevate UCL Investment Society’s events through innovation, collaboration, and data-driven execution. My interdisciplinary background in economics, mathematics, and programming equips me with the analytical rigor to design engaging, insight-driven events that provide real value to our members.
During the AmplifyMe Trading Simulation, I managed a $20M portfolio with an 88% success rate by balancing risk and reward across volatile sectors. My disciplined risk management (97% BSRM compliance) and ability to outperform benchmarks (Sharpe Ratio: 2.5) reflect my capacity to create structured, results-driven experiences.
Leadership is at my core. As Finance Lead in a negotiation competition, I structured financial models that secured a 30% subsidy increase and a 15% cost reduction, showcasing my ability to organize and optimize resource allocation—essential for executing seamless, high-impact events. Leading Model UN delegations taught me how to engage diverse audiences and foster meaningful discussions. Beyond logistics, I thrive on crafting experiences that inspire, whether by securing industry.
With my blend of analytical precision, leadership drive, and passion for creating value, I am committed to making our society’s events a catalyst for learning, networking, and professional growth. Let’s build something extraordinary—together.
