Hi! I'm Clara, running to be your next treasurer!

But what makes a great treasurer? I think the job isn’t just about the math, but also about ensuring your money is well spent. That's exactly what I aim for! As an international student living in London, I know what a tight budget is like. Thus, my goal is simple: I want to make sure the IR Society is worth every bit of your time and money

I aim to be:

  1. Approachable: Your voice matters. I want to hear your ideas, your priorities, and what you want from this society
  2. Transparent: You’ll always know where our money is going. I’ll ensure there are no barriers to entering the IR world, making it an accessible space for everyone
  3. Diversified: I'll maximize resources effectively. I promise to work closely with the events officer towards diversified guest speakers, unique discussions, both academic and entertainment events, and different possibilities that make this society stand out.

I have experience managing finances as my high school’s treasurer, where I expanded our student funds. In the IR society specifically, I had the incredible opportunity to represent UCL in Bangkok for the Global Peace Summit, where I connected with global changemakers and was even chosen to give a speech on global peace!

I’m a fast learner, an open communicator, and an approachable leader. So, if you’re looking for a treasurer who won’t just “do the math” but will make International Relations DIVERSIFIEDRELEVANT, and ACCESSIBLE, I’d love your vote!
