Hey! I'm Ray, a second year Msci Natural Sciences student. Here's why I'd love to be your treasurer:
- Dedication to Ice clerb: no games missed so far this year (that I haven't been cut from)
- Open mindedness: While keeping the club financially healthy, I will also be open to any interesting ideas which require funding ;)
- Chinese: Rigorous Chinese mathematical education has me prepared to crunch those numbers 👆🤓
- Keeping up: I shall be timely to submit all financial requests so we don't miss any deadlines!
- Equity: Although I am a Betis member, I think that Figure is an integral part of ice club. I will aim to give Figure and Hockey equal attention and consideration, ensuring that both parts of the club will be treated equally in terms of funding. Specifically, I will try my best to secure Lee Valley for the figure skaters.

Like everyone at Ice Club, I once stepped on the ice for the first time as well. I understand how daunting it can be. I also understand the importance of high quality practice and frequency of ice time. I am running for treasurer with the intention of finding alternative methods of raising funding for the club. Rather than increasing dues, I’ll search for sponsors and ensure that the money we do spend, goes further. My goal is to deliver the best experience for those students who are trying their hand at ice sports as well as those who have participated in some form of ice sport their whole lives. I am a quantitative and detail oriented person and I believe I can deliver on my goals as treasurer of ice club. Thank you for taking the time to read this short summary!
