Hockey—a game of skill, speed, and (if you’re me) the occasional unplanned encounter with the astro. But what’s hockey without fixtures? Just a bunch of people running around aimlessly, waiting for a whistle that never comes. That’s why I’m stepping up to be your Fixtures Secretary—to make sure our games actually happen, our opponents show up, and our umpires don’t mysteriously vanish mid-match.

Why am I the perfect fit for this role?

  • I can send emails and make phone calls without having a breakdown—meaning I’ll confidently liaise with the union, opposition teams, and match officials to keep everything running smoothly.
  • I own (and actually use) a calendar. With two years of juggling three jobs alongside uni, scheduling fixtures will be a walk in the park.
  • My Wednesdays are boring without hockey. I’ll make sure we have a full season of matches, including friendlies when BUCS lets us down, so we never have to suffer a match-free week.

I’ll make sure UCLWHC is exactly where it should be—on the pitch, sticks in hand, ready to dominate (or at least pretend we know what we’re doing).
