Dear Habesha Society Members,

I'm nominating myself for the position of Welfare Officer because I would love to be a part of the team and support the well being of our community, ensuring everyone feels supported and included. Our society is a place where we celebrate our culture, support each other and create a sense of belonging and I want to ensure every member feels valued. I want to be a dependable and approachable source of contact for anyone in our society. I would love to play a role in strengthening our community and also introducing our culture to others. I would be honoured to serve as welfare officer and with your support I'll ensure our society remains a safe, welcoming and empowering environment for everyone.

Thank you

Aida Tesfaye

I am running for the position of Welfare Officer in the Habesha Society because I am passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of our community members. With a deep understanding of the challenges that many of us face, I am committed to advocating for and supporting those in need. As Welfare Officer, I will ensure that the society provides meaningful support, resources, and opportunities for personal growth, especially for those facing financial, social, or emotional challenges. I plan to introduce initiatives that focus on mental health, academic success, and career development, ensuring that every member feels valued and heard.

My previous experience in leadership and organizing community outreach programs has equipped me with the skills necessary to bring people together, communicate effectively, and develop programs that truly benefit our community. I will work tirelessly to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every member feels empowered and connected. With your support, I will strive to foster a culture of care, compassion, and collaboration within Habesha Society. Together, we can create a stronger and more united community.
